4-17-10

Time : AM
Instructor : Herb
Class Size : Large
Class Length : 110 minute
Class Number : 38
Heat : Humid towards last 20 minutes

During pranayama, I notice extra flexibility in my pecs as if they were rising above my ribcage on the sides under my arms. I also tried to take larger breaths during sayvasna and expanding my ribcage larger than usual. I am still feeling tremendous ribcage flexibility.

I also noticed my glutes and hips didn't take any time to engage; they were solid from the start. Resulted in a solid balancing series.

I poured in on in warrior and triangle, maintaining a relaxing or warmup mentality with the exception of garurasana (eagle) and dandayamana (forehead to knee) which are always tough as hell.

I alternated standing and lying on the two sets in padangustasana. The second set, lying, I got a huge hip stretch and great deep pop. The flexibility gained from my prior class was showing.

Floor series I lost some focus after dhanurasana (bow) as that is when the heat started in deep. I only did one very light set of Ustrasana (Camel) as I was going to try to make that a really good set, but no dice.

I went through the motions after that and throughout the rest of the class.

I tried a pinch of kosher salt and a squeeze of lemon juice. It curbed my water drinking where I felt like I had a hole in my stomach. Instead I just took a few sips and wasn't really thirsty.

I couldn't find the "big space" in the class. I did however get it after class and for a few hours later. I didn't eat right after as I met with a realtor for about two hours.

I also tried coconut water later on that night. I felt it soak in pretty much immediately.
